EDCTP3 RIA call 2026 (pre-proposals):

• Global collaboration action for the development of TB drugs for therapy and chemoprophylaxis in adults and children in sub-Saharan Africa.

DIGITAL-2026-AI-09-SOLUTIONS-CANCER-STEP

By building on, extending and leveraging the Cancer Image Europe platform, this action is expected to facilitate the uptake of EU AI-driven solutions in medical imaging (including Machine Learning and Generative AI), towards their deployment in clinical settings. It should also include upskilling of healthcare professionals and evidence generation to evaluate the performance of the deployed AI-driven solutions and engage patients.

The Twinning Call 2026 is designed to accelerate the implementation of personalised medicine (PM) solutions or approaches from one country to another through peer-to-peer exchanges.

This is an 1-stage call. 

EP PerMed launches its first Call for Tender on Surveys and invites suitable stakeholders to apply. The topic of the tender is the assessment and analysis of genetic testing related to personalised medicine approaches for different countries and health systems.

By launching call for tenders EP PerMed aims to:

• Understand the processes of personalised medicine implementation and identify good practise of personalised medicine in healthcare.
• Understand how to best engage the crucial players of the healthcare systems and research to support EP PerMed objectives
• Generate knowledge to support EP PerMed activities.
• Develop recommendations to support personalised medicine implementation.

The goal of this call is to solve Undiagnosed Rare Genetic diseases and to address complex, multifactorial Rare Non-Genetic diseases by identifying causative variants in patients with no molecular diagnosis after prior genetic or genomic testing and providing diagnostic clarity for conditions of unknown or mixed pathogenesis.

12. February 2026 is deadloine for submission of pre-proposals

With this JTC, EP PerMed will fund research projects in human health on innovative PM strategies for patients with cardiovascular, metabolic or kidney diseases. Research projects may focus on a single disease or explore these conditions in combination. 

This is a 2-stage call. The 10th February 2026 is deadline for 1st stage proposals.

Knowledge Hub “Food Processing Policy Implementation Network” (2026)

This call is implemented under the Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action HDHL Food4Health. The overall aim of this Knowledge Hub call is to develop a robust, interdisciplinary, and policy-relevant understanding of the relationship between food processing, human health, and sustainable food systems.

Please note: this is the first stage of the call and involves submitting an Expression of Interest.

The aim of this first EUP OHAMR Call is to improve the treatment success rates of the patients, animals and plants affected by bacterial or fungal infections by providing new treatment options while reducing the risk of resistance in the different One Health settings.

Topic 1: Identify and develop new combination treatments using existing or innovative antimicrobials or antimicrobial with adjunctive treatments to extend drug efficacy and combat resistance.

Topic 2: Develop tools and methods to improve adherence to treatment protocols.

Topic 3: Assess the impact of antimicrobials for veterinary and agricultural use on the risk of AMR transmission to humans and the environment to inform policies on the restriction of some antimicrobials for human use.

The call is aiming to fund research and innovation projects that contribute to ensuring equitable access to and utilisation of health and care services and provide policy and decision makers with the knowledge and tools needed to implement resource reallocation as the health and care system transitions to address new and ongoing challenges.

2nd February is the deadline for submission of pre-proposals

The aims of the call are:
- to support randomised interventional multi-country Investigator-Initiated Clinical Studies that are designed as pragmatic comparative-effectiveness studies and/or drug repurposing studies.
- to encourage and enable transnational collaboration between clinical/public health research teams (from hospital/ public health, healthcare settings and other healthcare organisations) that conduct multi-country IICS, either comparative-effectiveness or drug repurposing studies.

The call will finance research that improves the understanding of the causes for obesity, overweight and its complications by using a mechanistic approach, as well as studies aiming at the development of public health strategies for the prevention of obesity and overweight by focusing on critical transitional periods of life, which are due to either biological or socio-environmental changes.

EP PerMed will fund innovation projects in human health that focus on multimodal data usage for PM approaches providing more efficient and personalised management of multimorbid patients, having at least two chronic diseases that require management.
