Capacity building in Research and Innovation (R&I) for transforming health and care systems - Survey

The THCS Partnership is currently running a consultation among experts in several countries, collecting views on capacity building related to Research and innovation (R&I) for transforming health and care systems. 

The survey is open to researchers, R&I funders, policy makers, patient/citizen representatives, health and social care professionals, industry representatives and anyone who is interested in capacity building for R&I in relation to health and care systems.

Interim evaluation of EU4Health Programme

The European Commission published in November an interim evaluation of the EU4Health Programme, the largest and most ambitious EU health funding programme ever.

The interim evaluation of EU4Health shows that the Programme is on track to achieving its objectives. There is significant progress in meeting targets in key areas such as: crisis preparedness and response; health promotion and disease prevention; cancer; and addressing the needs of rare disease patients through ERNs.

Commission invests €14 billion through Horizon Europe to boost global research and innovation leadership

European Commission has adopted the main Horizon Europe work programme for 2026-2027, a €14 billion investment designed to drive research and innovation (R&I) across the EU's strategic goals. 

A major novelty of the work programme 2026-2027 are horizontal calls, which address cross-cutting challenges across different research and innovation areas.

Resource for AI Science in Europe
