Dear SC1 NCPs, dear colleagues,

The European Regions Network for Health Research and Innovation, RegHeath-RI, celebrated its final conference to present their results last 20 October, at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, in Brussels.

The project responded to the topic HCO-14-2014 -Bridging the divide in European health research and innovation, with a duration of two years. Its final goal is to contribute in a significant way to three key Horizon 2020 goals, namely, (1) reducing the gaps in health R&I across the EU regions, (2) widening the participation in H2020 and (3) facilitating synergies between H2020 and Structural Funds by proposing new initiatives and concrete approaches to EU, national and regional policy- and decision-makers. They have worked on attaining these objectives by developing a multidisciplinary network formed by representatives of academic and R&D organisations, national and regional authorities, Horizon 2020 National Contact Points (NCPs) in health, SMEs and other areas, to deal with the main problems affecting health research and innovation of EU region and organized  three workshops in Madrid, Trieste and Zagreb.

We would like to share with you the presentations of the final conference as well as the report on the State of the Art of Health Research and Innovation (R&I) in EU regions they have produced.
