eHealth week 2017 (Malta)

10.05.2017 to 12.05.2017

The eHealth Week 2017 was organised by the Maltese Ministry of Health as part of their Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the European Commission, and HIMSS Europe. eHealth Week 2017 gathered stakeholders from across the globe to address international hot topics related to healthcare IT, including “Cross-border exchange of personal health data: from policy to practice” and “European Reference Networks: how digital health helps”.

Around 1000 eHealth experts from across Europe attended this year’s eHealth Week from May 10 to 12 in Malta. Speakers included members of the European Commission (DG CNECT, DG SANTE), Malta’s minister of health, and top researchers among others.

A Maltese and a German Health NCP, and partner in the European project Health NCP Net 2.0 (HNN 2.0), presented HNN 2.0 in a short talk, were on hand to answer questions at the HNN 2.0 information booth and were available for bilateral meetings. Several participants of the eHealth Week 2017 were interested in finding out about funding opportunities in Horizon 2020. They also appreciate the services that NCPs and HNN 2.0 offer.
